Blue Boat Minas Basin, 21 x 32, Mixed Media on Canvas
| As I leave this glorious place, I turn to find a treasure of blue hues basking in the late day sun. Moored to the earth, its weight pressing hard on stone, a boat sits waiting for another day to play on the ocean waves. Its classic lines speak of a time when fishing was honorable and abundant in this great land. Patiently it waits for someone who comes not often enough. It remains landlocked ‘til the next tidewaters breathe life into its keel. I crouch low in reverence and move slowly along its bow. The angle is just right and the sun is warm and low on its blue flank. I have captured the moment once again. Paradise has given me more today than I deserve. I am thankful and humbly leave as the sun sets on this wondrous place I love. |
