Pebble Beach, 28 x 59, Mixed Media on Canvas
| We were north of Gros Morn Newfoundland when my wife and I found this desolate beach. The sky was moving rapidly overhead and the ocean spray warned of a storm to come. The surreal multi coloured rocks were like a coral reef spreading endlessly along the shore. The sun tried breaking through the heavy skies without success. The rich blue water and red and orange rocks vibrated as I quickly worked to capture the waves as they constantly and slowly tumbled under my feet. My hands were numb and I had only minutes to immortalize the rugged beauty of Newfoundland. |
