In the Annapolis Valley the wind can really blow between the north and south mountains. We had lovely oak trees on our property and I marveled at their ability to endure the Nova Scotia weather. They are the last to loose their leaves. In Valley Sails I use a stylized oak leaf figuratively as sails on a pastoral sea sailing across the Annapolis Valley. Oceans do not have to be made of water, do they?
